The brand new and highly anticipated Phoenix range has finally landed in the UK. Products from this premium brand are always of the highest quality and we are super excited to bring you reviews on everything in the range that has excited us, granted that does not leave much left! We are now moving on to the decks in this new range and the Sequel is a great place to start.
Finished with premium liquid paint this deck doesn’t get scratched as easily so looks great for longer. It also comes in 4 colour combinations blue, purple, black and white with a width of 4.5′ and 21′ in length. These dimensions make your feet fit perfectly on the deck and a headtube angle of 82.5 degrees makes it ideal for getting into hang fives easily. In regards to the brake, this deck comes with a switchblade flexfender.
How they ride
Concerning the strength of this deck it is made of high grade 6061-T6 aluminium making it very robust yet also fairly light. From my experience over the last 7 weeks this deck has withstood stairset after stairset and still feels as good as new. The deck also locks into grinds beautifully with a slight concave in the centre making grinds seamless and buttery. In addition to this the deck also has a very unique graphic on the bottom which will make your scooter distinctive from your friends. Finally the flexfender brake on this deck is the best brake I have ridden during the 8 years I have rode a scooter. This is because it responds just at the right time when pressed making it faultless when performing difficult manual combinations which are my personal favourite.
I would recommend this deck for any rider as it is not too light or too heavy to perform any type of trick but also has a neat finished and is very affordable at only £99.95.
