Grits 2015 range is slowly being released and unlike previous years the brand that is known best for putting out the best quality cheap complete scooter in the market is now taking on the parts market with some radically forward thinking products that look like no other. The brand new Battle bar is one of those very products and we here at Void think this particular product at first shall be marmite, people are either going to love them or hate them!
My first impression of these bars was wow Grit have made a big boy bar (680mm by 600mm). I loved the awesome unique shape and style of these bars and when I picked them up I was expecting some substantial weight, but no I was surprised to find considering the size and dimensions of the bars they were extremely light weight (990g). This is due to the New hydroformed aluminum technology that means that unlike other aluminium they maintain the same strength as a chromolly or steel bars. I also love the different color ways they come in, the matt black finish with the blue graphics at the top and side of the bars being my personal favorite. But enough with the weight, size and design of the bar the big question is how do they feel to ride?
How Well They Work
When I first put them on I wasn’t so keen as I was used to a heavier bar but the more I rode them the more I began to like them. After a week of riding them I can confidently say that they are the best bars I have ever ridden. They feel so nice to ride being so light but they still feel incredibly strong and sturdy. The bar is more than up to the job on the strength side of things but I can’t emphasize enough on the weight, its just crazy light for the shear size and dimensions of the bar. I believe Grit have made an amazing step in the right direction by producing such a uniquely designed bar.
All in all from my experience in the industry from years of riding seeing the scooter industry grow and products advance that these bars are a top of the range quality product that are well worth the investment.
