The high quality parts from Grit Scooters continues with another set of bars that break down the convention of what the brand is known for. 2015 could be the year that Grit scooters break away from being known as just a low end competes brand and step up to be known for some amazing high quality parts.
These new bars from grit are completely changing the game with the new hydro formed aluminium technology allowing for a lighter, more comfortable ride but simultaneously providing a secure strong set of bars that are very reliable. The design is unique but equally capable and they are also available in black, gold and purple. These bars all come with nice decal on the upper part or the bar, different depending on the colour of the bar although each one looks equally nice. The taller riders out there will appreciate the larger size of these bars, coming at stock dimensions of 610mm wide and 680mm tall. The bars come ready for SCS compression although may need to be modified for HIC. Anyway on to the main question of which everyone wants to know, how do they ride?
How they ride
After fitting the Grit Ballistic bars to my scooter replacing my old grit bars with them, I could feel the immediate difference! Because of the size of the bars I was expecting some substantial weight, but I was surprised to feel that regardless of the stability they provide they still feel so light to use. Although I was used to smaller bars I adapted quickly to these bars and found they made tricks such as tail whips a lot easier as well as making it a lot easier to flow around the park. In my opinion these bars can cater to a large variety of riders simply down to the fact that they are a great set of bars that are brilliant value for money.
After riding many different bars in my time of riding and seeing the progression made in the scooter industry, I have to say Grit have a produced a top of the market set of bars which are well worth the investment. To conclude I feel that these bars could help a rider progress with certain tricks a lot easier. There is a lack of larger bars on the market so I’m sure the taller riders out there should appreciate these. I would strongly recommend these to anyone.
