Coming from Cleveland Ohio in the mighty US of A comes a brand new rider owned scooter parts brand by the name of Aztek Scooters. Only just in its second year now the brand has claimed to be making the most technologically advanced scooter parts at an affordable cost. The big question is can the new boy on the block live up to such bold statements?
The first product launched is the Anthem SCS Fork. This is one of the lightest SCS Forks available on the market today. The fork itself is machined from a solid block of 7075 Aluminium (one of the highest grades available). The fork weighs an incredible 215 grams making it one of if not the lightest fork available in todays market.
How well it works
When I first went to assemble the fork on my scooter, I unfortunately had to use a small headset spacer, however this is only due to my deck / headset combination. I continued to assemble the fork on my scooter, the integrated thread at the top of the fork works flawlessly, and there is also a machined lip at the top of the forktube making bar installation easier to slide on compared to other forks. The Anthem Fork also features an integrated crown race meaning the headset bearing rests right on the fork itself, it also lets you remove an unnecessary part from the headset. I have ridden the forks for a few months now and have had no reason to remove or re-tighten my compression, they work fantastic!
If you are looking for an affordable, light and reliable SCS / HIC fork, we definitely recommend you consider an Aztek Anthem fork. We love brands that continue to push the boundaries on what you can get out of a part on a scooter and Aztek have done this (mainly with the incredible weight) The only slight downside with these forks is that the colours are slightly limited (Black/Copper currently, Silver/Red coming soon)
